  • Marching in Sync: The Power of Teamwork

Did you catch the spectacular display of Trooping the Colour last weekend? Watching over 1,350 soldiers, 300 musicians, and hundreds of horses move in absolute, flawless unison across London was a true masterclass in coordination. That level of breathtaking precision does not happen by accident; it requires everyone showing up to practice daily.

The same logic applies directly to our classrooms. Our focus this week is how essential teamwork skills grow through regular participation. When a child is absent, their classroom community loses a vital link, which can disrupt shared group projects, science experiments, and playground activities.

To give our pupils the best chance to build these collaborative habits, they are expected to attend school for 190 days a year. This precious and compact timeframe is our primary opportunity to help them learn how to navigate diverse group dynamics, negotiate tasks, and lift their peers. Every single day they miss makes it harder to sync back into the daily classroom rhythm. Let's commit to consistent attendance so our collective unit stays beautifully in step.
